Dumptster Day, National Night Out, and more

Dumpster Day. Saturday, August 10

Can you give an hour?

We’re expecting a large turnout this year. The City asks that East Richmond residents help guide participants as they line up at Key Blvd to direct them to the dumpsters when one opens up. Please contact Jim Hanson at eastrichmondnc@gmail.com to help out for an hour between 8 AM to noon. Thank you!

The City recently sent residents a postcard announcing the exact times, dumpster locations, accepted articles, and how seniors or disabled residents can request a curbside pickup. If you didn’t receive it, you can download it here.

National Night Out. Tuesday August 6

Kick-off Party, 4:30
Hosted by Santa Fe Neighborhood Council
Southside Park: South 6th and Virginia Ave.

End Party, 6 – 8:30
Parchester Village, Shields-Reid and Iron Triangle Neighborhood Councils
Parchester Community Center, 900 Williams Drive

We’ve been invited to participate in National Night Out, a time to connect with neighbors and recognize the spirit of community volunteerism and public safety partnerships. Let’s honor our community volunteers and get to know our neighbors and local civic leaders.  For more information, visit the City’s NNO page.

Download postcard for distribution.
