AGENDA
- A report on our meeting with Director of Community Development Lina Velasco, senior planner Hector Lopez, and Richmond Councilmember Jimenez regarding the Dollar Tree store.
- Heather Bristow, ERNC Secretary, will present a project proposal for high-visibility crosswalks and traffic calming measures on Solano Ave between Highway 80 and San Pablo Ave, and how to support it.
- We’ll also review highlights of the April 16 Public Works presentation of 84 projects to City Council, affecting the Barrett-Key Traffic calming project, McBryde Safe Roads to Parks Project, and other local traffic-calming projects.

Jon Sargent from the East Richmond Heights Municipal Advisory Committee (MAC) will attend our March meeting to discuss some of our common interests, such as the disposition of the Adams school site, proposed McBryde Ave. improvements, Mira Visa Field, wildfire preparedness, and other topics of mutual interest.
We will also share what we learned from our correspondence with staff of the Planning Department concerning the proposed Dollar Tree store at the corner of San Pablo and Barrett avenues,

At our last meeting, keynote speaker Don Gosney raised concerns over the lack of information from the District and Board about the future of Adams Middle School. The advisory “7-11 Committee” that Don sits on will begin a series of meetings with the Board starting 3/5/24. Details inside.

At out last meeting we learned about updates on the Air Quality Plan, new staff and police officers at the City of Richmond, Dumpster Day announcement, public safety announcements. Our keynote speaker, Sally Tobin, gave a presentation on the history of Point Molate.

Richmond’s Path to Clean Air
Wednesday, November 29, 7-8 PM
Join us for a program about the air we breathe. The types and levels of air pollutants Richmond residents are exposed to are now documented, thanks to extensive air monitoring in Richmond and San Pablo over the last few years.
Suzanne Coffee and Dave Sevrey, two members of the Community Steering Committee (CSC), will give an overview of local air pollution issues and the “Path to Clean Air Plan” arising from the passage of Assembly Bill 617.
